Fall is for Planting & Preparing for the Seasons Ahead
There is something special about fall in the landscape. The heat of summer begins to fade, the days grow shorter, and cooler temperatures create an opportunity to do some of the most important work of the year.
Fall is for planting, but it is also a time to think ahead. To the evenings we still want to spend outdoors, the areas of our properties we want to improve, and the winter season that will soon be here.

For many trees, shrubs, and perennials, fall is one of the best times of year to plant. The soil is still warm, while cooler air temperatures reduce some of the stress newly planted material experiences during the heat of summer. This gives plants an opportunity to begin establishing strong root systems before winter arrives and get off to a healthy start when spring returns.
Fall is also a great time to take a fresh look at your landscape. Maybe you’ve been thinking about adding a new tree, creating more privacy, bringing seasonal color to a planting bed, or replacing something that hasn’t performed as well as you hoped.

We have some beautiful plant material available and would love to help you find the right plants for the right places. Whether you’re considering a new tree, beautiful shrubs, or long-lasting perennials, fall is a wonderful time to get them in the ground and begin building a landscape you’ll enjoy next spring and for years to come.
If you’ve been thinking about adding something new to your landscape, now is a great time to start. Give us a call and we’d be happy to talk about what would work well for your property.

Longer Nights Don’t Mean Less Time Outdoors
As the days get shorter, you don’t have to stop enjoying your outdoor spaces.
Thoughtful landscape lighting can make a big difference. It can highlight favorite trees and plantings, gently illuminate walkways and steps, and create a warm, comfortable atmosphere for spending time outside in the evening. It can also add visibility and security around your property.
With the right lighting, you can enjoy your landscape a little longer, even after the sun goes down.
